Membership

The Food Co-op is a member-driven organization. To join the Co-op, either come in the store to fill out a membership application while you shop, or print and complete the downloadable form and present it to a cashier at the Co-op. New members must pay a $10 Membership Application Fee, as well as a Capital Contribution of $70.00 per adult member of the household using the membership.

** Currently, the board has adopted a special Summer 2010 promotion of half-price Capital Contribution - only $35.00 per adult member of the household.

New members may take up to 6 months to pay their Capital Contribution, while enjoying full member benefits. The Co-op membership card is issued upon completing the Capital Contribution.

Members of the Cleveland Food Co-op are part owners of the Co-op and receive a variety of benefits including:

• Shelf prices on products (non-members are always welcome, but pay a 5% surcharge)
• A vote for issues and election of board members
• Eligibility to run for a seat on the Board of Directors
• Monthly member coupons for up to 20% off
• A $5 gift certificate at sign-up
• 10% discount on full-case orders
• Reciprocal membership honored at Food Co-ops around the country
• Any member meeting a certain number of volunteer hours per month will be entitled to additional discounts (ask a staff member about how to volunteer or send an email to cle.food.coop at gmail.com)

Non-members are always welcome to shop at the Co-op.
